Global Leadership Development programme

In February 2024, during Student Volunteer Week, we welcomed a dynamic cohort of 30 students and sanctuary seekers to take part in the Global Leadership Development Programme.
Through interactive learning and skill-building, participants gained the tools and confidence to become future leaders. We’re proud to support their journeys and can’t wait to see what they achieve next!

With the support of 11 dedicated facilitators, we welcomed a diverse cohort of 25 sanctuary seekers from across the region to take part in this transformative programme.
Through interactive sessions and peer-led activities, participants developed essential skills, built confidence, and formed meaningful connections. We’re proud to create a space where everyone can learn, grow, and thrive!

This year, 49 students and sanctuary seekers came together to take part in the Global Leadership Development Programme, building skills, confidence, and connections for the future.
Through interactive and engaging sessions, participants explored leadership, communication and personal development - all in a supportive and dynamic learning environment.
The Essentials Hub

In response to the increased cost-of-living, CVCL and the Students Union has launched a project to support students facing financial challenges.
For just £5 per week, student members can access approximately £25-£30 worth of essential groceries every Thursday—helping to ease financial pressures while ensuring access to nutritious food.
This initiative is more than just a food club—it’s a community of support, ensuring no student has to face hardship alone.
Higher Education Volunteering (HEV) Fund

The HEV fund offers grants of up to £500 for public and third sector organisations who work in partnership with our students to develop projects that support the community.
