Projects at the CVCL

Centre for Volunteering and Community Leadership

We have been involved in some truly inspiring projects and peer-leadership events. Not only have they developed the skills of those working on them, but they have also had a tremendous impact on communities around the world.

Supporting students with the cost of living

In response to the increased cost-of-living, CVCL and the Students Union has launched a project to support students facing financial challenges.

For just £5 per week, student members can access approximately £25-£30 worth of essential groceries every Thursday—helping to ease financial pressures while ensuring access to nutritious food.

This initiative is more than just a food club—it’s a community of support, ensuring no student has to face hardship alone.
