Oldham College’s campus is located right in the heart of Oldham town centre, just a few yards from Metrolink stops at Oldham Central and Oldham King Street.
The Higher Education (HE) centre first opened its doors in 2005. It boasts a range of excellent facilities including a Library and Resource Centre, Graduate Hub, and an Academic Success Centre. It has helped thousands of local students to fulfil their career dreams.
All Oldham College HE courses are closely aligned to employers’ needs in Oldham and the Greater Manchester city region with real-world experience.
Each course is designed with students’ future careers in mind and has a strong vocational focus. The cover areas such as children and young people, criminology, computing, health and social care, performance, photography, construction, business, accounting and financial management, games art, psychology and more. There are also a range of Teacher Education programmes for pre and in-service applicants.
Most students come from the Oldham borough and staff pride themselves on nurturing home-grown talent. This allows students to save money on things like accommodation and travel by studying locally.
University Campus Oldham also helps learners to fit their studies around family life and other commitments. Many courses are offered full-time and part-time. There is an excellent range of student support on offer to ensure students develop a full range of vital life and employability skills. This includes access to Academic Development lecturers.
